I really don't know what to say about this one, it's probably going to be one of the top five most memorable days of my life. Started at 4am, briefing at 5am, helped carry an Astromech for about 1/4 mile and got the troopers out on time. That took us all the way to 6am... The UKG did themselves proud that day. Standing in front of the stage for an hour each, posing for photos, being interviewed, and finally marching up the red carpet behind Lord Vader himself. Awesome sight, from where I was... And that's probably the most memorable part for me. The 'Crew' passes, a huge camera/lens/monopod arrangement and three terminally confident fellow blaggers got me into the Press Pit at the end of the red carpet. Ross, Martin and Baden - my thanks to you all. Also thanks to John Harris for inviting me to go there in the first place, and for organising an overwhelmingly successful event. UKG - you showed the world how it should be done. |
