The Bank Holiday Monday weather wasn't too kind to us, but it didn't wash out any smiles either. Once again the turnstiles kept ticking, the UKG kept up the hard work and the public loved it.

See you all again for Celebration Europe, or the next National Space Centre event!

Second of three days - and the public just keep coming. Queues for advance ticket collection show how important it is to make sure you book ahead of time if you want to be at the next one - the event sold out again, I think on all three days.

The final group shots and melee were taken by Laurence Bevan, a great job with a camera he'd never operated before. True genius shown by jumping into the group shot and taking a picture of the crowd, excellent work!

The UKG return to their home base, the National Space Centre in Leicester for three days of fun and fundraising. Jedi School is more popular than ever, selling out most sessions and raising phenomenal amounts of money for charity.

The second half of this collection was taken by Joanne Howard - thanks, Jo- you managed shots I've never been able to get! Well done.

A group of prop collectors and builders show off their talents and collections. They are all from the Replica Prop Board, an internet-based forum of like-minded detail-oriented specialists and generally far-too-talented people :)

Storm held off the rain for us - though we did get some a few hours after she'd left but the event was basically closed by then. A small but mostly chav-free crowd were pleased to see Lord Vader, some troopers, one RFT, a lone Jedi and some X-men. Shame there weren't more people there but a fun little event.

A sell-out event. Twice. This weekend was the biggest and best event we've had at the NSC, and hopefully the template for more to come in the future.

If you want to be at the next one, book in advance or get there early. Jedi School sold out within two hours on each day.

Go there. Enjoy. We did :)

Another quiet Memorabilia - are the public getting bored of the show? Don't know about that, but we were certainly busy, and had a great time. Fewer people means we can give them more abuse... er... sorry, that should have read *attention* :)

Great social weekend too, with lots of laughs all round. Roll on, November :D

The "Weyland Yutani" mugs from the National Space Centre Alien Experience are rare items - there are four in circulation. One of them sits here on my desk. The others appear to have travelled far and wide... Evidence of their power will be posted here.

Wow. A HOT one... Water at £3.60 a litre (you thought petrol was expensive!) and some serious temperatures. But a good turnout despite the football, and some great times with some of the stars who also turned out to be fans at heart. Sadly I missed both times we had Nathan Fillion on his knees being arrested :( Maybe next time, eh? But Jorge Garcia couldn't get enough of us, came over and had about 20 minutes just messing about taking photos at the end of the day. Great stuff. Shame about the changing arrangements, though. And the Hotel mix-ups some suffered. And the trouble getting hold of food. But some great stories on an excellent Saturday night. Why did nobody suggest chocolate-covered chocolate?!

After the huge success of the first Star Wars day at NSC, we were pleased (OK, we were ecstatic!) to go back and do it all over again. Everybody had learned lessons from the first and things were much smoother. There were basically NO queues, attendance was steadier over the two days and a few excellent set-pieces were very well received. I think this will become fairly regular so if you've STILL not seen one - look out for the next!

Signatopia at the Magna in Rotherham. Probably one of the best venues I've ever seen for a UKG photo shoot - but too dark to take advantage of it fully... Well, it is for now. When I've got more experience hopefully we'll get to go back and I'll make a better job of the photos.

We came, we saw, we rocked. As usual. Sadly, public attendance wasn't quite as overwhelming as we'd hoped it would be. Though Magna is so huge there could have been a few thousand people in there and we might not have noticed...

Not the busiest Memorabilia, but one with a few new twists to it... Anakin & Obi-Wan's fight proved insanely popular, so much so that next time we'll have a bigger area roped off outside. Another milestone with the first appearance of a female trooper with Jo under the armour and nobody any the wiser... The first of the new Rebel Fleet Troopers shooting up Stormtroopers, being choked, being arrested... watch for more of these next time.
Endor Rebels made an appearance too, and hopefully next time they'll have some Scout Troopers to shoot at.

A full Stargate SG team made plenty of appearances but spent most of their time rubbing shoulders with the rich and famous at the Question & Answer sessions given by the star signings

On 13th August, the UKG held the first of what I hope will be an annual (at least!) event. Everyone looked wonderful with some serious effort going into dresses, hairstyles... and that was just the men!

This one had a charitable purpose, as you would expect - but in this case the charity was a more sombre one, as the little girl intended to be the recipient sadly lost her battle just days before the event. Though most of us never met Katie, she touched all our lives. Sleep well, little one...
